Creativity and leadershipCreativity can be considered as a specific type of leadership. A leader is defined as the "group member whose influence on group attitudes, performance, or decision making greatly exceeds that of the average member of the group" (Simonton, 1994: 411). If a leader is one whose imprint on the group exceeds that of most group members, then certainly some creators are leaders within their own cultural realms. Long-lasting eminence (fame, influence) is the common denominator of both creativity and leadership.
